What if Edison was a Law or Arts graduate??

Yesterday night, it was raining heavily. Chennai-yil oru mazhai kaalam started.. :) as well as so many problems too started.. Stagnated water, unusual power cut etc etc.. when it started drizzling last nite, sincere electricity board workers cut the power down. My mom started cursing the EB for power cut. Because it was third day she was missing her favorite TV serials. She was restless about what happened to Abi in kolangal. :P I started wondering “what if nobody invented electric current??” “What if Edison was regular in his school days?” if he was regular, what if he finished his degree in law or arts and science. What if he didn’t bother about replacing alternating current by direct current??

Hmpf.. the world would be in dark..oh no.. some other grad from Stanford or Harvard would have done tat.. just imagine nobody had interest in anodes, cathodes, circuits like me ;) think about a world without electric current…!!

Every night you will be having candle light dinner at your home. Your credit cards are safe from the restaurant bills. Wow.. Interesting!! But you will miss freshly baked pizzas and spicy tikkas. But still you can have hot dosai with coconut chutney.. yummy!!

Your mom will be happy that u doesn’t waste your time in orkut and facebook. Guys.. no more DOTA, FIFA and all.. Don’t worry.. u still have cricket, ghilli, goli :P no cinema theaters. You can enjoy ur week ends at stage dramas. Remember only morning and noon shows will be there.

How to spend summer season without Air conditioner or cooler?? The building architecture will be modified to make it airy.. eventually all start planting trees…yayyy… no more global warming threats. No emails, e-cards.. go back to the age of sending postal cards and greeting cards. It will be nice to sit and write letters for your beloved ones rather copy pasting or forwarding mails. no need of "save electricity" "caution: high voltage current danger" boards. :):)

You live life in a different way.. :) even though it will not be hi-fi but sure it will be interesting!!

Miss you… Deepak (Mom)!

Summer fall has started in many American universities :( :( so many of my friends were off to US.. Madhu, Subbu, Naren, and the next Deepak..how did I know Deepak?? Small flash back..whirrrlll… me and Deepak came to know each other well in 7th sem. In 8th sem v had so much of fun.. this fellow is gud at music..knows to play keyboard and drums..and his recent desire is to learn guitar..(ellam varanam aayiram pandra velai..free eh vidunga).. Now come back again to present.

Deepak called all of us to his home for giving a send off treat.( actually v should have given..but no prob). As I already said few of my friends were in banglore, only pavi, ashwin, vignesh, k vignesh, pritham, deepak’s school friends raghu, yogesh and me went to his place. V asked for the treat at his home because v all love his mom’s cooking (now u can guess y have I named this post so :P). v all reached his place at 1 30 pm or so.. and got settled at 2..then v started our lunch. :D

The only time ashwin doesn’t pull my legs is while he eats. :| bad boy..yup he doesn’t care wats happening around wen he is eating until someone grabs his chicken piece. Well I must say the menu here.. briyani, shredded chicken, prawns, fish fry, chicken fry, idiyappam, stew, veg briyani, chappati, bindhi fry, raita, beetroot pickle, curd rice and finally dessert paal payasam with her unique Kerala touch… v stopped (not finished :P) eating at 3 20 or so..(well.. shakthi, suma pls don’t scold me ;)).. few of them started taking rest and did some actions( they named it as exercise) to eat more and not to throw out the recently consumed food :P these fellas talked over abt ‘sprite bottom up’ matter again and again..(sshhh.. don’t ask me wats tat;);)).

Finally the lunch feast was over.. we saw oceans 11, played cricket. At 6 pm deepak’s sister reached home from college. We all surprised Deepak with a brand new guitar signed by all of us ;):) And he promised us to learn chords and tabs soon and upload it. :) we bid adieu to Deepak after taking few group fotos…

Yet another memorable day in my life… :)

Found it somewhere... Found it Nice!

The Lament of the Real Programmer

Sir Roger Needham (Cambridge)

Oh once I could program, the best in the land
I wrote in raw hex with unwavering hand.
My mind's eye could follow all possible paths
But now I can't manage the new-fangled maths

I cut lots of code for unaudited cash
And nobody cared that I rarely did wash
But now I'm burned out and admit with a sigh
That the kids from the High School are better than I

I lasted a while as an old-fashioned hack
Because I could knock out a protocol stack
But the mathmos are here now - they've come pretty far
And there's nothing for me but to prop up the bar!.

FUNNY CARTOON!!

this cartoon reminded my second semester Programming Data Structures Lab... Lol :D :D i use to curse my compiler y doest it always throw a 'segmentation fault'. now i can understand how a compiler would have cursed me :P:P

Looonnnng Road Trip to Vellore golden temple! ;) 29th july 2009

B4 telling about our trip to Golden temple let me say the reasons y v arranged a trip to Vellore.

--My friend Ashwin gna do MBA in UWIC. He is leaving on Sep 1st wk and his dad gna handover his fiesta to their college staff. So we wanted to go for a long drive in fiesta.

--on the way to vellore there is a briyani shop.. non-veg lovers must not miss this place.. (Actually dis must be the first reason :P )

R Vignesh and k Vignesh were in chennai but missed dis trip.. unlucky fellows ;);)Most of my frenz joined their company in blore so they also couldn’t cum..

Ashwin,Deepak, Pavi and myself only went. We started at sharp 8 o’clock in the morning from guindy..traffic was normal and deepak speeded at 120 km/hr towards porur with the music player loaded with aayirathil oruvan songs. V stopped at a highway restaurant to have breakfast.

“remember v need cum before one clock to the bryiani shop otherwise it will be closed” said ashwin in a warning tone.

“it’s a famous temple… my mom said it will be too crowded, can v cum bak early??”, said Deepak.

“do u know how long will it take to reach the temple” , asked pavi.

“hmm.. from here we will reach arcot briyani shop in one hour.. from there golden temple will be near only I guess…”. Ashwin said coolly and smirked.

“so u don’t know the exact place..??”. we shouted in shock!!

“hey.. it must be somewhere near arcot only..”, ashwin assured us and again we started driving.

Time 10:10 a.m, v reached. 2 hours traveling was not boring at all.. how it would be boring with my frnz around me..?? :):)

Ashwin again warned,” briyani shop is till 1 p.m only.. so dnt make late in temple.. ve to cum bak soon..ok??”

“Hey let us reach the temple first.. how long to go da??” ,I asked him.

“Somewhere here only di..”, again in a confident voice ashwin said.

Sign boards pointing towards banglore reminded pavi and me about our written test at sonoa systems on Friday. (oh.. with written test on Friday u gals loitering out ?? :P)

In few min, a temple with a bronze tower glowing in bright sun light was visible.

“Hurray… v reached the temple..cool..!!” pavi and me shouted in joy.

Before Deepak could turn right towards the temple, a pulsar speeded infront of us. So he went straight without turning right.

“This is a famous temple.. but its very small”, ashwin said in doubt.

V asked a auto driver to confirm, “where is the golden temple??”

“go straight.. Then u will reach vellore.. cross 3 bridges take left go straight…”. He continued a big map description..

v didn’t want to go back to arcot without seeing the temple.. Deepak drove in the same speed..

Finally v reached GOLDEN TEMPLE at 11 a.m

V need to reach that briyani shop b4 1 p.m :P we decided to finish the dharisanam in 45 min and go bak to Arcot. We ain’t suppose to take mobile fonez inside the temple.v stood in a big queue and surrendered our fonez, shoes… time 11:20 a.m

V walked into the temple, the path is fully fenced with iron grill gates. Usual checking was made by the temple securities and v reached a room with chairs neatly arranged.

The security kindly said,” ppl..u sit here.. then in a short time u will be re-directed to another room”.

“how long will it take??”, asked ashwin.

“jus 30-40 min this room.. like this v have 3 rooms for complete dharisanam it will take around only 2 hours or so”

Lol :D we walked towards the exit!!

Either v have to drop our eat-out plan or miss dharisanam. Well, we decided not to miss the both. So v planned to go back to arcot and come to the temple in the evening.

Again car speeded towards Arcot. We reached Star Briyani, Arcot at 12:10 p.m.

Man.. u will be amazed to see such a delicious briyani served in a small shop.(it can not occupy more than ten ppl at a time and the rates are damn cheap ;);)). It was little crowded. V got a separate room with only one table and had superb briyani served hot with raita. Hmpf..lunch over.. again bak to golden temple…

I told,“hey.. feeling too tired.. can v go someother day” .

“even I have to reach home early.. my sister is waiting for me..”, said pavi.

“OKIES.. Bak to Chennai..!!” :D

atlast reached Chennai at 3 p.m.

Though v didn’t see the temple or get dharisanam..it was a wonderful trip. One of the memorable day in my life. :):)

SaY NO to SmOkInG... SaVe LiVeS :)

hi frenz,
this post am writing for all those cigarrete smokers. of course most of the educated smokers must be knowing tat the nicotine present in cigarretes affect brain and its carcinogenic. then y still smoking?? the smoke not only affects them but also the innocent ppl around them by inhaling that smoke.and the highest percentage of smokers are in the age of 15-24.. :(:( (me shocked to c this survey..!!). this is the age to enjoy and achieve.. then y do u want to spoil ur life by smoking..u got one life.. live it.. live like king size without any regrets..

this my imagination how wud smoker loved smoking and regret for this..

those who read this post pls tell atleast 2 person abt the effects of smoking..
lets join our hands to create a better world!! :):)
cheers :)
